About time I finally posted something...

I was trying to do this in the order that I completed everything, but then I forgot what I finished first. So here goes the first installment of the completed projects.

I made my first pair of socks.

Not too bad for a first timer! It was such an amazing feeling to actually make socks, I had to make another pair.

...and here they are together.

The orange, pink and yellow socks were made with Sockatta yarn. The blue and green socks were made with Lana Grossa Cotton Fantasy. They were knitted on double pointed needles with the Basic Sock pattern from Yankee Knitter.

Wow...I haven't been here in a while

Just thought I should update all of you that are still readng this. Mugger has recovered just fine. His hair is almost completely grown back.

As for me, I have finished a pile of projects...some I have photographed and given away already, some that need to be photographed, and an even bigger pile that need to have all of the finishing work done to them. Just as a warning...I have become addicted to making dishcloths.

Also, I have 2 pairs of socks to photograph and get up here too!! So much stuff to get done and so little time.

Mugger had his surgery

Just thought that I would update everyone. He had his surgery Tuesday. I have some before and after photos. I will warn you, the saved head and stitches are a little shocking.

This is Mugger's bump on the head before...

and this is what he looks like now...

This is what the bump on his tongue looked like...

Close up...

I haven't been able to get an after photo of the tongue yet. He hasn't been panting long enough for me to get out the camera and get a photo of it. I will tell you that the spot where the bump on the tongue used to be is pink.

He is doing pretty good. He sleeps a lot (like he always did). He got up and greeted a customer yesterday for the first time at about 3-4pm. He can't have crunchy food yet (which means no cookies), and he can't eat grass for a while (he loves grass - especially the broad leaf kind - it is sweeter). He gets his stitches out on June 18. He has only worn the cone head collar once and that was when we brought him home. He will probably have to wear it again when the hair starts to grow back and he will be itchy.

Now for the worries...

I am kinda worried about Tuesday. Mugger Bear has to have surgery to remove the cyst from his head and the lump from his tongue. I hate vet bills. We just took him for his checkup, now he has to have the surgery, and in the fall he has to go back for his therapy dog checkup. I imagine that he will have to go back to have the stitches removed from his head too. I guess that they are doing the lump removal on his tongue with a laser. There won't be any stitches there. I hope he isn't in much pain. I guess I am just a worried mother. It is really going to be lonely on Tuesday. He goes to work with me everyday.

Here are some photos of him.

This is when he "ran for President". We made t-shirts of this photo.

Mugger in his Halloween costume from this year. He was quite the cute little dinosaur.

This is what he really thought of the costume and photo shoot. He is such an expressive little guy!

This is when we walked in the Race for the Cure last year. We walked in memory of my grandma (who taught me how to crochet) and my friend Georgia. We also walked in celebration of another friend. It was funny, Mugger decided to take a break about halfway through the walk. He sat down in the middle of where everyone was walking and caused a traffic jam.

This was our Christmas card photo from this year. He is such a little trooper. From the costume fittings to the photo shoot.

So, please think good thoughts and pray for him on Tuesday.

More FO's!!!

So, I am finally getting around to posting everything else from the previous post! These are the hotpads that I made for my mom for Mother's Day.

Close up of the stitches and yarn,

This is one of the dishcloths that I crocheted for her. It actually matches better that the photo shows.

These are more of the preemie hats that I made to donate to Glens Falls Hospital.

Phew!! I feel better now that I got those posted. Now for all of the dishcloths and hotpads that I have finished since then. This could take a while. Those dishcloths are so addicting! Guess that is what everyone will be getting for Christmas this year!!

Finally got some photos taken

Phew!!! This one is going to be a doozy!!! I can't even remember how many projects that I have gotten done since I last posted.

For those of you waiting for the sock photo....ummm....well.....you are going to have to wait a little longer. I still have to get it off of the needles! I know, I am pathetic!!

Pardon my scatterbrainedness...I am waiting for the photos to load and I am working on the silver recovery machine at work (believe me, it is not pretty!).

First of all, I got a bunch of prayer shawls done. The first 2 are for my shawl ministry group, and the last 2 were for people in my church.

I will have to post more later. It is time to go home for the day. I have a wedding to shoot tomorrow! Wish me luck!!
