Finally!!!

I finally got all of the finished projects photographed and the WIP's photographed as well. Feels better to get that done!

This is the green afghan...

...and here is the coral shawl...

...and here are the WIP's, the poncho, the hat and the yarn for the scarf...

And to update where things are since I photographed these items yesterday - green afghan is shipped and on its way to Pennsylvania, coral shawl is sitting at home (after all, I made it for myself), purple poncho for mom hasn't progressed yet, red hat for boyfriend is now on DPN's and working on the on the decreases, the yarn for the scarf for the boyfriend is now cast on and about 10 rows into it. When I get more done or started or photographed again, I will post.

One Project Down, Too Many to Count to Go!

I got the shawl done on Friday. It looks great! Unfortunately, our mat cutting room at the store got flooded and everything from that room is now sitting in our studio airing out. Therefore I can't take any photos of it. Believe me, I am bummed! I really wanted to get the photos of the green afghan and the shawl up along with the projects that I am working on. I would take the photos in another location, but since I am a professional photographer, I am also a professional photo perfectionist! I like the look of the backdrop with the handmade item!

I started my boyfriend's Valentine's Day hat. I have about a inch of it done.

I haven't touched my mother's poncho in a few weeks. I really need to get that done!

Yet another day

The shawl is almost done. I got quite a bit of it done this morning before work. I hope to finish it tonight. I always set goals that are way out of reach. There is about 5 inches left on it. If I don't finish it tonight then I will finish it tomorrow at knit night.

I purchased the yarn today to make Andrew a hat for Valentine's Day. I got the Patons Merino Wool in Burgandy. I am going to make a hat pattern from the book "Never Knit Your Man a Sweater Unless You've Got the Ring!". It should be pretty easy and quick to knit up. I also want to make him a scarf from the same book. I guess I will have to wait and see how ambitious I get for that one!!

I still have my mom's poncho to finish by the end of March. I hope I get it done. If not, she will be getting yet another scarf.

Almost time to leave work. I will try to update tomorrow!

Day One

Well, day one of posting anyway! I decided to start this blog to show my friends all of my WIP's. ...and boy do I have a lot. Right now, I am working on a coral colored Homespun shawl for myself and a purple poncho for my mom. I also have a few Prayer Cloths that are being crocheted for the Prayer Cloth Ministry. It is a group of women that make Prayer Cloths to send to troops who are overseas. I am also going to be starting a few hats for the Afghans 4 Afghans project. (I do a lot of charity knitting and crocheting.)

My most recently completed project was a green Picot and Scallop Fan afghan that I made for my cousin. It was supposed to be her wedding gift. I am about 5 years late with it. Hey, better late than never!! As soon as I figure out how I am going to photograph it, I will post a photo of it. I swear that my guage must have been off on this one. It was supposed to be around 45"x65". I think it is 60 something by 70 something at least! Oh well! At least it is done!!

I also just completed 2 other afghans. They were both for a friend that just had a baby. One was for the baby, and one was for their other daughter. The baby's afghan was a green teddy bear pattern and the one for the daughter was a pink, yellow, turquoise and green afghan. I will have to post photos of them later also!
